Today we're taking a look back at the progress we've made at the Big Branch One Pump Station in Apex, North Carolina.

Back in February, much of the work was focused below grade and getting the major infrastructure in place. Our crews were installing slide gates inside the wet well, setting stair pans, and working through the valve vault and discharge piping. Around the site, piles were being driven for the support buildings while preparations got underway for the electrical pad and chemical building.

By April, the project was starting to take shape. Hollow core panels were installed over the channels, the chemical building and dumpster pad were prepped for concrete, conduit and plumbing work continued at the electrical/controls and chemical feed buildings, and our crews installed the 20-inch discharge line leaving the pump station.

In June, the biggest change was the masonry work. The electrical building, chemical building, and other structures were all rising above grade, making the progress across the site easy to see.
