Pittsboro Wastewater Treatment Plant
October 8, 2026
Carolina Civilworks is out at the Pittsboro Wastewater Treatment Plant building a new pump station for TriRiver Water. Once it’s finished, it will pump wastewater from Pittsboro all the way to Sanford.
Right now this job is mostly a big hole in the ground, and it’s getting deeper. We’re doing the excavation ourselves and are down to elevation 315. Bottom of the cut is 310, so we have about five more feet to go. East Coast Drilling handled the blasting, and as we work our way down, Morrison is soil nailing and installing fabric to hold the walls of the excavation.
Then Central Concrete comes in to form, set rebar, and start pouring. From there the structure goes up, the pumps, piping, valves and ancillary equipment go in, and White Electric handles the electrical. We expect to be on this one through Fall 2027.
