Eno River & Lick Creek Lift Station Valve Replacements

September 12, 2025

For the City of Durham, our crew took on a unique job at the Lick Creek Sewage Pump Station: removing and replacing multiple valves (6” up to 16”). While the city supplied the valves, we handled the rest—bypass pumping with five 12” diesel-driven pumps, wet well cleaning, dewatering, sludge removal, and even concrete inspections inside the wet well.

Now the new valves are in place, the bypass has been removed, and all that’s left is finishing up the coatings to match the existing piping.

These types of projects aren’t your typical “new construction.” They’re tricky, require creative problem-solving, and have tight windows—in this case, a 30-day bypass limit. That’s exactly the kind of work that fits our team.

Shoutout to the crew down in the pump station getting it done.
