We are hiring a mechanical foreman. Must have hands on experience with equipment installation such as, clarifiers, diffused aeration, submersible pumps, vertical turbine pumps, sluice & slide gates, UV disinfection, grit removal equipment, and chemical feed equipment. Experience with layout and installation of process air stainless steel piping, bolting of flanged ductile iron piping is much needed. Must be able to read blueprints and approved submittal documents. Must be drug free. OSHA trained in trenching/excavation/confined space. We will provide training if proof of training is not available. Competitive compensation based on skill level.
Education:
2 or 4 year degree in applicable field or 3-5 years of experience in applicable field.

Carolina Civilworks is looking for its next assistant superintendent to help manage day-to-day tasks on upcoming municipal water & sewer projects. Responsibilities will include moving equipment, material management & inventory, safety, utility locates, daily supervision of crew and coordination with local homeowners & City inspectors. Pay to begin as hourly. Possibilities for salary & upward mobility based on performance.
Pre-reqs include possession of clean NC driver's license, passing of drug screen, ability to tow & back a trailer, positive attitude and willingness to learn & work. Average of 50 hours a week to be expected with occasional weekends as needed. Construction / utility experience highly desirable, but not required. Carolina Civilworks Inc. is a Raleigh based site development and utility contractor combining decades of experience between management and field personnel in central and eastern North Carolina. We specialize in water, sewer, pump/lift stations and storm drain installations in all sizes, at any depth and regardless of the site conditions or constraints.
We are looking for a Project Engineer whose responsibilities would include the following:
- Must be able to work as part of a project team.
- Manage and compile submittals for multiple projects.
- Work with a project team to develop construction schedule.
- Assist with project team on preconstruction activities such as project buy-out, subcontracts, purchase orders, ordering material, etc.
- Perform quantity take-offs and estimating.
- Responsible for various tasks on several concurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned.
- Review plans and specifications for compliance.
- Produce field drawings using Autodesk.
- Attend client/business meetings.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- At least 2 years of experience in water/wastewater, drainage, and/or site/land development projects.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Primavera, and Autodesk.
- Must be able to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time.
- Preferred candidates likely to be methodical, precise, and consistent, while enjoying some variety in work schedule and tolerant of change as work demands.
- Process-oriented individual with strong organizational and technical skills.
- Solid communicator with strong writing and verbal skills, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team.
- Technically competent, a team player and good communication ability.
- Must be self-motivated and work independently to complete work assignments but also able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

The employee in this role performs entry level work in the general repair, construction, and maintenance of Water/Wastewater systems.

Laborer Role/Responsibility:
Performs entry level work in the maintenance, repair and replacement of machinery and equipment in water and/or wastewater pump stations/treatment plants and storage tanks. In this position, you will complete a variety of construction tasks. It will be your job to ensure that those tasks are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible. The work that you do each day can change based on our needs. But you should expect to spend some time working in a Wastewater plant setting using different power tools and assisting with heavy machinery. Hands on experience with equipment installation such as, clarifiers, diffused aeration, submersible pumps, vertical turbine pumps, sluice & slide gates, UV disinfection, grit removal equipment, and chemical feed equipment is preferred but no required. Experience bolting of flanged ductile iron piping, heavy equipment operation is desired. Ability to read and understand blueprints is desired but not a requirement. Must be drug free. OSHA trained in trenching/excavation/confined space. We will provide training if proof of training is not available. Competitive compensation based on skill level.
