Carolina Civilworks Inc. is growing, and we are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Construction Estimator to join our team in Durham, NC.
We specialize in water and sewer utility construction and are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, motivated, and interested in building a career in civil construction estimating.
MINIMAL ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Responsibilities
- Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimates
- Prepare competitive bids and proposals
- Obtain and organize material, subcontractor, and vendor pricing
- Assist with project scope and cost analysis
- Work closely with project managers and field personnel
- Learn the estimating process for water, sewer, and underground utility projects
Requirements
- Minimal estimating experience required
- Construction, engineering, or related education/experience preferred
- Interest in civil construction and utility work
- Ability to read and understand construction plans or willingness to learn
- Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Familiarity with Autodesk/AutoCAD, Primavera, or Bluebeam is a plus
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Carolina Civil Work’s Inc. is searching for a Laborer to work in a fast-paced, dynamic operation conducting installation and corrective repairs at Water/Wastewater pump stations/treatment plants. The employee in this role performs entry level work in the general repair, construction, and maintenance of Water/Wastewater systems.

Laborer Role/Responsibility:
Performs entry level work in the maintenance, repair and replacement of machinery and equipment in water and/or wastewater pump stations/treatment plants and storage tanks. In this position, you will complete a variety of construction tasks. It will be your job to ensure that those tasks are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible. The work that you do each day can change based on our needs. But you should expect to spend some time working in a Wastewater plant setting using different power tools and assisting with heavy machinery. Hands on experience with equipment installation such as, clarifiers, diffused aeration, submersible pumps, vertical turbine pumps, sluice & slide gates, UV disinfection, grit removal equipment, and chemical feed equipment is preferred but no required. Experience bolting of flanged ductile iron piping, heavy equipment operation is desired. Ability to read and understand blueprints is desired but not a requirement. Must be drug free. OSHA trained in trenching/excavation/confined space. We will provide training if proof of training is not available. Competitive compensation based on skill level.
